Event Details
This class is held weekly, on Mondays from 1:00pm-3:00pm, all school year long. It's for girls and boys of all ages, 3 and up! The Class List with names/genders/ages of students registered up for these classes are found at the bottom of the event's description.
A Unit Study is a type of curriculum that organizes all subjects around one topic. In this case, it's a unit study about the novel Percy Jackson & the Olympians – Book 1: The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. We'll also get halfway through Book 2: Sea of Monsters.
We'll be reading a chapter each class. There is no need to purchase the book, because I have the complete text PDF has been added to the unit plans.
We will also be using The Lightning Thief Novel Study curriculum created by Gay Miller. It's a full English/Language Arts, Literature, Vocabulary, & Writing curriculum, geared to those who are in 4th-8th grade. However, we will supplement for those that are younger, and those that are older, with like materials.
We're also going to be going through The Mythology Handbook and The Oceanology Handbook of the Ologies series! There's so much fun, and the Larbredevie and the Dragon Warrior Unit Studies loved them this last semester!
And last bust surely not in the least, we will also be making a recipe out of Percy Jackson and the Olympians – The Official Cookbook each class! From Eggs in Asphodel to Aunty Em's Double Smash Burger, this cookbook will take us on a magical journey that will surely not disappoint!
If you like Greek Mythology, making recipes, doing fun learning activities, join us in this fun! We'd love to see you and make new friends!

*Invoices will be sent out round the 15th of each month that will be due on the first of each month. It's assumed that you'd like to continue each month unless you let us know that you no longer will. No judgements, just let us know ASAP as there may be a waiting list for the class.
We'll be outside under a huge pavilion so prepare yourself for the day's weather. Bring enough water, bug spray, personal battery operated fans, cool clothing, etc. We meet in the rain as the pavilion is huge and we stay dry. Please check our FB Page to see if any updates have been made about the classes each day. ALL announcement will be via FB as I can't access the website via phone. If you're planning on dropping off your child please contact Kei Denevan our Head Organizer first to get approval.
